Speaking Opportunities

Get Involved!

Planning for this year's conference is already well underway but we still encourage you to get involved. Presenting or co-presenting at one of our conference sessions is a great way to build your professional network with peers from all across Canada and demonstrate Business Development thought leadership on behalf of your organization.

Speaker Benefits

CHBDN provides speakers with the opportunity to:

  • Build their speaking and professional portfolio

  • Publish their presentations on the CHBDN website

  • Receive constructive feedback through our conference evaluation process

  • Network with others in the Business Development community

  • Engage in collaborative learning in which both speakers & participants benefit

Content That Works

Core program content focuses on skill/knowledge building that directly impacts and helps grow the capabilities of Healthcare Business Development practitioners in Canada. While CHBDN does not have a strict policy against presenters actively selling their products or services during learning events, knowledgeable speakers who provide the audience with useable and relevant information will easily pique interest and be asked for further resources.

Examples of previously successful presentations have included those which have:

  • addressed a hot topic, current challenge or trend

  • used real-world examples which highlight strategies that were key in project implementation

  • used case studies which highlight specific tools/methodologies used to analyze various business case options

  • integrated panel discussions involving both institutional and commercial perspectives

  • avoided direct selling of products or services

  • actively engaged the audience in discussion
